This is a very common issue to discuss but the thing which has been taken my attention for week is a news which might have not heard.What does real education means ?Real education does not only means to make human being a machine that earn money and contribute in building a society.Main objective for providing education is that to teach students a lesson of respect , teach them a lesson that if you give respect then you have the right to ask for respect.This lesson is not taught to the students even they reach to university.Cell phone is not allowed in any education institution , however its use is not allowed but it is frequently use in class rooms ,student do not hesitate to use it even in front of a teacher . they could not keep their cell phones on silent mode as they were expecting very important immediate calls and became the source of distraction in class .It is also seen in class rooms that students often play games on cell phone,they don’t give any importance to the teachers’lecture.Respect word is only a seven letters word for them or a word in dictionary.In Japan few days before a student was talking to someone on cell phone the teacher took his cell phone and angrily throw it on the floor.
Now come the news , On the afternoon of March 14th, 10th grade student Zhang Zhipeng from the Third Secondary School of Pucheng, Fujian was scolded and insulted by his homeroom teacher in the teachers’ office because Zhang had been playing with his cell phone in class. Then his parents were called to school by the teacher. Zhang Zhipeng had made apology to the teacher but she didn’t accept it and continued to verbally abuse Zhang. Zhang couldn’t bear the insult and committed suicide by jumping off the building after that. Within ten minutes of the accident, school leaders and teachers turned the other way, only his mother accompanied Zhang for the last ten minutes of his life.
In Pakistan Punjab assembly has unanimously passed a resolution banning the use of mobile phones in schools and colleges, which may result into a blanket ban of mobile phone devices in campuses throughout the province.
You just think that the student was so ashamed that he committed suicide for his act ,however it is not a praise able or encourage able act done by the student but the thing is that he admitted his mistake, main thing is that teacher is a respectable person it is the person who stand after parents we should have to give him priority.
